Ingredients
- 125 ml (½ cup) white chia seeds
- 125 ml (½ cup) sesame seeds
- 60 ml (¼ cup) maple syrup
Preparation
- Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a small skillet heated over medium-high heat, add the sesame seeds and chia seeds. Toast, stirring constantly, for 3 to 5 minutes, until the seeds begin to brown.
- Add the maple syrup and stir well to coat the seeds. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until the mixture becomes sticky.
- Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it evenly using a spatula. Cover with another sheet of parchment paper and flatten using a rolling pin.
- Remove the parchment paper and cut into 10 pieces.
- Let the sesame crunch cool for about 15 minutes before serving or handling.
