Ingredients
- 160 ml (⅔ cup) large flake oats*
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) chia seeds
- 310 ml (1 ¼ cup) 2% M.F. milk
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 large eggs
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) pure maple syrup
- 5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla extract
Preparation
- In a medium saucepan, add the oats, chia seeds, milk and salt.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat while stirring. Reduce to low heat, incorporate the eggs, maple syrup and vanilla. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring regularly.
- Divide into two bowls and serve with an additional drizzle of maple syrup, if desired.
Notes
Keeps for 3 days in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
*For a gluten-free recipe, be sure to use certified gluten-free rolled oats.
