Ingredients

  • 1 head of cauliflower (about 4 cups), rinsed and cut into florets
  • 60 ml (¼ cup) cornstarch
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) nutritional yeast
  • 2.5 ml (½ tsp) garlic powder
  • 2.5 ml (½ tsp) paprika
  • 2.5 ml (½ tsp) onion powder
  • 1.25 ml (¼ tsp) ground black pepper
  • 45 ml (3 tbsp) water
  • 60 ml (¼ cup) Buffalo hot sauce (Frank’s RedHot–style)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, to taste (optional)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 °F (200 °C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cornstarch, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and pepper. Add the water and whisk until smooth.
  3. Add the cauliflower florets and stir to coat well.
  4. Place the cauliflower in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  5. Transfer the cauliflower back to the bowl, add the Buffalo hot sauce, and mix to coat well.
  6. Return the cauliflower to the air fryer and continue cooking for 5 to 10 minutes, or until very crispy.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley when serving, if desired.
