Ingredients
- 250 ml (1 cup) dry brown rice
- 500 ml (2 cups) high protein milk, 2% M.F. (such as Natrel Plus)
- 10 ml (2 tsp) vanilla extract
- Ground cinnamon, to taste
- Ground nutmeg, to taste
Preparation
- Rinse the brown rice until water runs clear.
- In a medium saucepan, bring rice and milk to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 50-60 minutes or until the rice is soft, stirring occasionally.
- If needed, add more milk or water to the rice to adjust the texture.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg as desired before serving.
