10 portions

  • 250 mL (1 cup) raw coral lentils, rinsed and drained
  • 500 mL (2 cups) water
  • 15 mL (1 tablespoon) paprika
  • 15 mL (1 tablespoon) olive oil
  • 2.5 mL (1/2 teaspoon) salt
  • 1.25 mL (1/4 teaspoon) ground turmeric
  • 1.25 mL (1/4 teaspoon) ground pepper

  1. In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and let stand for 3 hours.
  2. In a blender, blend ingredients into a smooth paste.
  3. In a preheated skillet over medium heat, pour the equivalent of ½ cup of mixture. Spread the patty as much as possible by making circular movements with the pan. Cook the first side 2-3 minutes, then flip the patty and continue cooking 1-2 minutes on the other side.
  4. Stir the mixture between each cooking to keep it homogeneous and to form the remaining patties.
  5. Add your favourite toppings and serve. Try them with our Spicy Roasted Pepper Dip!
