Air Fryer Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 45 ml (3 tbsp) nutritional yeast flakes
  • 2 ml (1/2 tsp) garlic powder
  • 2 ml (1/2 tsp) hot pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 500 g (1 lb) fresh asparagus, trimmed, washed and not dried*
  • 1 lemon, quartered

 

Note: *Asparagus should be slightly wet so that the mixture sticks.

Preparation

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients except asparagus and lemons.
  3. Add asparagus and gently stir to coat evenly.
  4. Spray oil on the air fryer basket tray and place the asparagus in a single layer. Spray a little oil again.
  5. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes or until tender and lightly browned.
  6. Serve with lemon wedges.
