Ingredients
- 125 ml (½ cup) whole wheat flour
- 45 ml (3 tbsp) sugar
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) ground flaxseed
- 5 ml (1 tsp) baking powder
- 5 ml (1 tsp) ground cinnamon
- 80 ml (⅓ cup) original soy beverage (or oat beverage)
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) vegetable oil
- 1 apple
Preparation
- Line the Air Fryer basket with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, mix the flour, sugar, flaxseed, cinnamon, and baking powder.
- Add the soy beverage and oil, then stir until the mixture is smooth.
- Slice the apple horizontally into 4 pieces, then remove the core using an apple corer or a small round cookie cutter.
- Dip each apple slice into the batter, ensuring it is well-coated, then place it at the bottom of the Air Fryer basket. Repeat for each slice.
- Cook the apple rings at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Best enjoyed warm—reheat in the air fryer for 3 minutes at the same temperature for optimal taste.
